CodeGear Pushes Buttons
Is it just me, or is everyone (in the Delphi fold) really excited about CodeGear right now? I never held any emotion about Borland, even less so about Inprise, but CodeGear; they are really pushing all my buttons.
When it was first announced that DevTools was only to become a sub-company of Borland, there seemed to be a collective moan amongst the community, but as things stand now, all that negativity seems to have subsided.
These are the tools with which CodeGear is seducing me:
- A real openness (especially the work that Nick Hodges is doing)
- D2007. It seems that CG has really aimed at the heart of our grievances (i.e. focusing on quality/speed)
- A fantastic virtual conference
Let the honeymoon continue...
